Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to Sherman County Released Inmates. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not accept these conditions, do not continue using the site.

Sherman County Released Inmates is privately owned and has no affiliation with any government body, sheriff, jail, court, parole board, or corrections department. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers consumer reports or services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-covered purpose. This is a reference to Sherman County and Oregon custody resources, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Site

This private reference stores no official jail, release, court, or corrections records. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post security, or file a request with an agency on someone else's behalf.

Its pages organize official NORCOR, Sherman County, Oregon corrections, supervision, court, and federal resources. They may also connect a visitor with independent research tools.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use this site lawfully and responsibly. In particular, you may not:

  • Violate a law or another person's legal rights.
  • Use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
  • Use site content for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated decision.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to the site or its systems.
  • Operate bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against the site.
  • Interfere with availability or disrupt another visitor's use.

No Consumer Reports or Screening

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not supply background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. You agree not to use information found here for:

  • Hiring, firing, or another employment decision.
  • Housing or tenant screening.
  • Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing.
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility.
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Resources

Links may lead to release-record sources, sheriff and corrections websites, government portals, legal-aid materials, or independent search services. A link does not endorse the destination. We do not control its content, privacy practices, data handling, pricing, or availability, so review the destination's own terms before using it.

No Warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that:

  • Information is accurate, complete, or current.
  • The site will always be available without interruption.
  • The site is free from errors, bugs, or security weaknesses.
  • A partner's search will be complete or return a particular result.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing published here is an official statement from NORCOR, the Sherman County Sheriff's Office, ODOC, a court, or another government agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sherman County Released Inmates and its operators will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from access to, inability to use, or reliance on the site or a linked service.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the site's original text, graphics, logos, design, and code belong to Sherman County Released Inmates or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or republished without written permission, except where applicable law permits.

Changes and Access

We may revise these terms at any time. A revision takes effect when it is posted here. We may also limit, suspend, or revoke access to the site at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

Oregon Law and Severability

Oregon law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Oregon.

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be adjusted only as much as needed, and the remaining terms will continue in effect.
